Old Fashioned Caramel Cake. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add the eggs & the yolks & blend just until combined.
Sift flour with baking powder then set aside. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla and rum extract.
Grease the parchment, then lightly flour the parchment and sides of the pan.
Add eggs one at a time beating well after each.
Turn mixer to medium speed and mix in eggs and egg yolks one at a time until well incorporated. Add to the sugar mixture alternately with milk. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter until fluffy, then gradually add the sugar, beating until creamy.
