Beat butter, sugar, and lemon zest in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Pour the pineapple sauce over the cake while it is still hot. In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together the butter, sugar, pineapple and vanilla extracts.
Add flour and salt, and stir until well blended.
Add vanilla extract, half of the pureed pineapple, half of the milk, and half the flour mixture.
In your Kitchen Aid Mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy. Notes I highly recommend sifting your powdered sugar to get any lumps out. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top to distribute evenly.
